Luthist, graduated from the Lyon Conservatoire, Claire Antonini is considered one of the specialists of the French Music for lute of the XVII ° century, music to which she devoted three recordings: “Les luthistes français au XVII° siècle”, “Manuscrit Vaudry de Saizenay” et “Les accords nouveaux, Pierre Ballard 1638”.

In addition to French music, which is her favorite field, she has also recorded Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Works for Lute”.
As a soloist, she regularly performs in France and abroad and also leads a career of continuity, accompanying the greatest singers and instrumentalists such as Philippe Jaroussky, Monique Zanetti, Isabelle Poulenard, Marianne Muller.
She regularly plays with various baroque orchestras: “Le Concert d’Astrée”, “Les Arts Florissants”, “Le Concert Spirituel”. She has also studied traditional Persian music with the great master Dariush Talai, and regularly performs with Persian music ensembles.
Her skills in ancient and traditional oriental music led her to navigate to other musical worlds, among others with Renaud Garcia-Fons, with whom she plays regularly as a duo and recorded “Farangi, du baroque à l’orient”. She has obtained the State Diploma of Traditional Music Teacher as well as the Certificate of Aptitude for the functions of Professor of Early Music, and has for many years led educational activities in different Conservatories.
